Wednesday Notes...

Oh, my aching back... the things you will do for your grandkids. I spent most of the day yesterday dragging down boxes full of Christmas decorations out of our attic, then helped Dianna do her thing inside the house. Today was my turn with the outside decorations. That's right... imagine my fat butt up and down the ladder hanging lights all over our house. Anyway we got-r-done, and darkness will tell how good of a job I did. Just two years ago I wouldn't think of climbing a ladder 14-16 feet in the air. How things change. Praise The Good Lord!

Many of you have emailed me asking about my brother's health these days. We certainly appreciate your concern and prayers. Harry ("Bubba") is doing as well as can be expected at this stage of his treatment. He is still undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, and has a great attitude. I believe his prognosis is excellent. He stops by my house a couple of times a week, and reads the BLOG here on a regular basis.
Those of you in the Phladelphia, PA and North Delaware area remember that I will be in Newark, DE this Saturday night with The ECWA - EAST COAST WRESTLING ASSOCIATION.

Vince Russo's long awaited RING OF GLORY will debut on December 16th. I am exicited about being a part of this new endeavor. The ROG is not the ordinary 'rasslin promotion for sure. I will be joined by names such as, Jeff Jarrett, Lex Luger, Brian "Roadogg" James, Vince Russo, D-Lo Brown, Matt "Spike Dudley" Hyson, Rodney Mack, Jazz, Kevin Kelly, Scott Hudson, Mark Jindrak, Jerry Lynn, Disco Inferno, Mike Sanders, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, "The Monster" Abyss, Brad and Scott Armstrong, Sonni Siaki, Jimmy Rave, Erick Watts, Trinity, Terry Taylor, Kevin Northcutt and many others. That will be at 7:00 PM on the 16th, at The Forum, in Rome, Georgia.

Have a good "hump day" my friends!

Monday Bits and Pieces...

It's the Monday after a long Thansgiving weekend. I hope you all had a good one! We certainly did. The next stop will be Christmas. Our friend and talented Webmaster "Plowboy" Kurt Nielsen has done a fantastic job with the new splash page of www.PercyPringle.com. Check it out when you have the time.

Our Gulf South Wrestling debut "house show" was a fantastic success Friday evening. It was granddaughter Grace's first experience with the world of professional wrestling. Blame it all on her roots I guess, as she was like a duck in water when she stepped into the ring to run around prior to the show. She didn't want to get out. Bless her heart... I understand the feeling.

Once again I would remind you that I will be in Newark, DE this Saturday night, December 3rd, with Jim Kettner's ECWA - EAST COAST WRESTLING ASSOCIATION. Jim has the reputation of being one of the finest independent promoters in the country. I am really looking forward to visiting the area once again.

The RING OF HONOR has released my shoot interview with Jim Cornette. I think that you will find this DVD very interesting. You can check it out at: PP3 & Cornette ROH Shoot Interview

Despite the Thanksgiving holiday, there's really not a bunch of news today. So... you all have a good week, and we shall return!

God Bless.

TWO YEARS AGO TODAY

Two years ago today, I weighed 525 pounds. Rolling the dice, I took a chance at Gastric Bypass Surgery. I had two choices, die from my morbid obesity, or die from the risks of the surgical procedure. I have documented my story in The Story Time section of Percy Pringle.Com. If you missed them, you can check them out at: HOW PAUL BEARER SAVED BILL MOODY'S LIFE and THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MY WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY. I truly feel better than I have in many years. I am a new man with an entirely different outlook on life. I weigh less than 300 pounds since joining The WWF/WWE in December of 1990. I reached a plateau on my weight loss several months ago, but that is fine with me. I don't care if I lose another ounce. I have so much to be thankful for during this Thanksgiving weekend!
My independent organization Gulf South Wrestling will ring it's bell for our first official "house show" tonight in a small community southwest of my hometown of Mobile, Alabama. I invite those of you living in our area to come out and enjoy the beginning of the future of Gulf Coast sports entertainment.

My RING OF HONOR "shoot interview" with my old friend and fellow manager Jim Cornette is now available. You can find out more about it, and even order your own copy by clicking on this link: PRINGLE & CORNETTE SHOOT ON THE 'RASSLIN WORLD

Have a great Friday, and a fantastic weekend!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !

A Thanksgiving Prayer
by Samuel F. Pugh

"O God, when I have food,
help me to remember the hungry;
When I have work,
help me to remember the jobless;
When I have a home,
help me to remember those who have no home at all;
When I am without pain,
help me to remember those who suffer,
And remembering,
help me to destroy my complacency;
bestir my compassion,
and be concerned enough to help;
By word and deed,
those who cry out for what we take for granted. Amen."
FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Remembering John F. Kennedy

On this date, November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. I was 9-years old at the time, and like many of you my age and older, I can recall that moment vividly.

I was in the fourth grade at Annunciation Catholic School in Bogalusa, Lousiana. The Principal came into our class room and gave us the earth shattering news. The entire student body marched across the street to the church where we said a rosary in memory of JFK. I was glued to the television for the next several days watching the pomp and circumstance of my first Presidential Funeral. I really think that this incident played an important part in my decision to go into Mortuary Service later in life. Notwithstanding some deaths within my family during the same time frame.

I have always been a JFK assassination buff, and have read tons of material regarding that horrible day, including the complete Warren Report. I have two shelves in one of my bookcases dedicated to that very subject. I don't have any doubt in my mind that Lee Harvey Oswald killed President Kennedy as a lone gunman.

Living in Dallas for 6-years, I never passed Dealey Plaza without thinking of that tragic day. In fact, I sat on the grassy knoll countless times, as The Sportatorium was less than a mile away.

Today, we remember...

God Bless.

AUBURN DEFEATS ALABAMA and more...

It's Monday my friends, I hope you all had a great weekend. Most of already know that our ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE was defeated Saturday by Auburn 28-18. What can I say. We had a 9-2 season, that surpasses what most diehard fans hoped for, including myself. However, we had a shot at that golden ring, and we missed it. I congratulate Auburn fans everywhere!

Just a reminder that I will be in Newark, DE with The ECWA - EAST COAST WRESTLING ASSOCIATION on Saturday night, December 3rd at 7:30 pm. This is my first appearance with Jim Kettner's top rated independent organization, and I am certainly looking forward to it.
The RING OF HONOR has notified me that my "Straight Shootin' Series" DVD with James E. Cornette is now available. You may read more about it, and order your own personal copy by clicking here: PP3 and JIM CORNETTE SHOOT ON THE 'RASSLIN WORLD

My GULF SOUTH WRESTLING organization will ring it's bell again this Friday night, November 25th at 7:00 pm. We will be in the new Grand Bay Community Center just southwest of sweet home Mobile, Alabama. You can imagine that I will running around like a nut all week trying to pretend that I am a 'rasslin promoter. Be careful what you wish for... I guess.

This coming Friday will also mark the second anniversary of my Gastric Bypass Surgery. We will share more about that with you later in the week.

Have a fine day! God Bless!

ALABAMA versus AUBURN

As my dear cousin "Marvelous" Marcel Pringle would say... WELL, WELL, WELL.

It's time. It's Iron Bowl Time. Tomorrow at 2:30 pm (CT) on CBS. The game that the entire State Of Alabama waits for each and every year. The first game was held in 1893. Alabama leads the series 38-28-1. The combined scores in the series is Alabama 1,275 - Auburn 1,030.

Regardless of the records or what is at stake for our two teams, the result of this game defines the season for The Crimson Tide and Auburn. One year ago Alabama was 6-6, and today we are 9-1 after losing our first game to LSU last week. But if we lose tomorrow, despite the obvious strides made by our program, many will judge the season with disappointment. They will judge the nine straight wins less impressive because of the two losses at the end of the regular season, especially one to Auburn. But that's the nature of the beast when it comes to Alabama Football.

The Iron Bowl is special to me, and it is one of the reasons college football holds such an attraction for fans and players alike. It's what sets the game apart from other rivalries, what makes it so important in our state. My wife Dianna and I are Alabama fans, yet our two sons Michael and Daniel cling to Auburn. Where did we go wrong? It's a house divided. We have a standing bet, that has been going on for about 15-years. It's a ten dollar bill framed, that is on the line every year.

Auburn is picked to win tomorrow, and they have won the past three. Will this make it their 4th? The tension is building, and our flags are flying high in the cold Alabama wind this morning. Win or lose, I am proud to be an American, and an Alabamian by The Grace of God!

ROLL TIDE!

I will be able to watch the first 30-minutes of the game on television before we jump into the car heading into the Florida panhandle for The American Wrestling Federation event in Chipley, FL at 8:00 pm. You can be sure we will be glued to the radio. If you live in the Chipley area, come out and visit with us tomorrow night. It could be a celebration, or a wake, depending in the outcome of The Iron Bowl. Be that as it may, you will see some fine independent pro wrestling action at The Roulhac Center. Tickets are $6 general admission, $3 ages 6-12, and free below age six. For information or to make reservations call 850-638-7183.

Dianna and I are going to catch one of the first showings this afternoon of WALK THE LINE, the Johnny Cash story that opens in theaters today. I'll let you know how we liked it.

Have a great weekend, my friends!

My Thoughts... Eddie Guerrero

When I think of Eddie Guerrero, I remember a 17-year old running around backstage at the wrestling matches in El Paso, Texas in the mid-1980's. During my early years with The Von Erich's World Class Wrestling, Eddie's Father Gory, co-promoted the events there. Eddie hadn't started his ring career as of yet, so he helped out where ever he could. This included bringing the boys jackets back to the dressing room from the ring, and running to the concession stand for us. I smile as I recall one night when I was painted yellow by Matt Borne. Eddie pulled me aside as I was headed for the ring, and gave me the "heads up" on a rib that was being played on me. He told me that my dear friend good 'ol Maniac Matthew Borne relieved himself in paint bucket that I was going to be doused with. Unfortunately, it was a bit too late for me to do anything about it. When I returned colored with several shades of yellow, Eddie was there to do what he could to help me clean up. I didn't see Eddie for several years after that, but we always recounted that night and laughed.

I am sincerely at a total loss for words. It is late on Tuesday night, and Eddie passed two days ago. I wanted to express my feelings since Sunday, but I just don't know what to say. I wish I had the vocabulary to completely explain how my heart is aching again at another loss of a brother and friend. There have been so many. The list goes on... and on... I find myself asking will there be another, and who will it be? Yes, there will be another. The Bible tells us that when we are born, we are destined to die. I can't find any comfort recounting the names that have been etched on tombstones. What is it about this business that I have dedicated my entire adult life to? Why will we give up everything we own to pay to play the game? I don't have the answers.

Eddie Guerrero was a fine human being, who dearly loved the industry he was born into. He cherished his precious family. Now, we who remain cherish his memory.

God Bless.

VETERAN'S DAY News...

TODAY IS VETERANS DAY !
Let's remember to give thanks for all of our Veterans today, past and present, for their sacrifices. I am proud to say that I served in The Active United States Air Force from 1972 - 1976, and in The Air Force Reserves from 1976 - 1978. A special shout out to those serving in Iraq and other countries that email me and visit my BLOG on a regular basis. Thanks!!!

My longtime friend and favorite guitar picker Lee Bogan has just released his new CD "WORKS FOR ME." Lee was Joe Diffie's right hand man for many years, and has always been a fan of professional wrestling. I swapped Leroy one of my new RING OF HONOR DVDs for one of his discs. You can check it out at: LEE BOGAN.COM.

You may also find Part 1 of my "STRAIGHT SHOOTIN' SERIES" by clicking here: PERCY PRINGLE'S ROH SHOOT DVD

I am returning to the Boston area tomorrow for The MILLINEUM WRESTLING FEDERATION. The event will be in the Braintree area. You can get more information, such as ticket prices, belltime, and the complete card by clicking on this link: PP3 ON THE BRAINTREE, MA MWF EVENT

Mercy... the heat is on! ALABAMA tackles LSU tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 pm (CT) on CBS. Normally I wouldn't worry too much about "The Lousiana Tigers" but we have a bunch at stake this time. Bama is 9-0 as we go into this one, with only one regular game remaining next week against AUBURN. Truthfully, I would like to see us go the distance, but if we have to drop one, I would rather it be the LSU cats instead of the AUBURN ones. I'll be watching from my hotel room in Boston once again... ROLL TIDE!!!

Brief Wednesday notes...

I appreciate the kind emails and concerns for my Dad's heart procedure yesterday. They found an artery that was 70% blocked, which they took care of. He's doing well this morning.

Yes indeed, believe it or not this is our own Webmaster "Plowboy" Kurty Nielsen going trick or treating on Halloween. I wish he had worn a costume... hehee...

A little bit of my own medicine, huh? I received this in the mail from Kurt yesterday. It seems like the only diarrhea I usually suffer from is chronic diarrhea of the mouth, I just can't keep it shut sometimes. Guess I'll take a dose or two and see if it works.

Have a fine Wednesday!

I'm baaaaaack.....

Good morning, my friends!
It's a relatively warm Tuesday with dense fog covering our Gulf Coast. I was up early getting my Dad to the hospital for a scheduled heart catheterization procedure, which is taking place as I type. Please keep him in your prayers today.

It was a fun filled 3-day weekend for me beginning in the Boston area on Saturday 11/5, with The
Millenium Wrestling Federation. I have a couple of pictures for you from The Lynn, MA - SOUL SURVIVOR III event at the bottom of this entry. I will be returning with The MWF again this Saturday, November 12th, in Braintree, MA just south of Boston. You can find more details about this next MWF extravaganza by clicking here: MWF PP3 Night

Terry Funk, Larry Zybysko, J.J. Dillon, Jimmy Golden, Barbarian, Bob Armstrong, Brad Armstrong, Tracy Smothers, Dustin Rhodes, David Flair, Bobby Eaton, Dennis Condry... can you imagine a card with a lineup like that? Well... it happened on Sunday afternoon in Kingsport, TN with IRON RING WRESTLING. It was almost like a family reunion, and to say that I had a blast was an understatement. I had almost forgotten how beautiful that area of the south was like. My thanks goes out to the staff/management and fans of IRW for inviting me to appear in the gorgeous Smokey Mountian area.

Did anybody have ALABAMA 9-0 going into the final two games of this season? Probably not... I sure didn't, considering that we had a combined record of 10-15 for the past two years. We have two games remaining, LSU this Saturday, then our arch-rival Auburn on 11/19. Is it possible we may go all the way... let's keep our fingers crossed!

I will be appearing for The ECWA - EAST COAST WRESTLING ASSOCIATION on Saturday, December 3rd, in Newark, DE with a 7:30 pm belltime. Promoter Jim Kettner has a reputation of being one of the best indy promoters in the country, I am certianly looking forward to participating in his endeavors firsthand. If you live in the area, jot the date and time on your calendars. I will keep you updated as we draw nearer to December.

Pictured this past Saturday in an MWF Question & Answer session are (L to R) Andrew "Test" Martin, Ox Baker, yours truly, and Dewey "Missing Link" Robertson. The Sandman was there too, however out of the picture, as you can see by his kendo stick in my hands. Special thanks to Christine Coons for this wonderful photograph!

MWF Superfan Steve Messner emailed me this photo of he and I at the MWF event. Promoter Daniel Mirade and staff did one great job with this one, everybody had a great time.

Have a great day folks!

On The Road Again...

A good Friday morning to you my friends! We're hitting the road this weekend, beginning tomorrow in The Boston, MA area. I will be appearing at The
Millenium Wrestling Federation's 3rd SOUL SURVIVOR EVENT at the Lynn Armory. There's an 8:00 pm belltime, however some other exciting events are scheduled before the show. Check the website out for all of the details!

On Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm, I will be in Kingsport, TN at The Meadowview Convention Center with IRON RING WRESTLING. If you live in the beautiful Smokey Mountains, stop in and spend some time with us!

I refuse to take my laptop with me, so you will have to wait until I return to get all of the details. Check back late Monday, or early on Tuesday.

Dianna and I played BINGO last night. I walked away with a cool $400+ in my pocket. I snapped a quick shot of the ladies sitting across from me as I was declared a winner. hehee... You wouldn't believe the crowds that pack the local BINGO halls since Hurricane Katrina destroyed the casinos just down the road in Biloxi, Mississippi. I hear the local Dog Racing Track is doing extreme business too. It's an amazing thing.

The RING OF HONOR sent me a preview of what the cover of the "Straight Shootin' Series" DVD that I did with my old buddy Jim Cornette will look like. I will let you know when it is available. I realize that many of you have just ordered my solo "shoot," and the feedback from it has been truly humbling. You can check it out at: Part 1 - PP3 ROH SHOOT INTERVIEW

Have a fantastic weekend, my friends.

Wednesday Notes...

Smooching with my three "babies;" Vienna (left), Conecuh (middle), and Oscar (right).

Gosh... I hate for my BLOG to turn into a PP3 infomercial again. But, it's kind of looks that way today. I apologize, but I just have a bunch of things I must tell you all about.

My interview yesterday with DRAGON KING WRESTLING is now online. You can access it directly by going to: PP3 ON DRAGON KING

PP3 AT MWF's -SOUL SURVIVOR - Saturday, November 25th !!!

After MWF Boston's SOUL SURVIVOR spectacular on Saturday night, I will be in the beautiful Smokey Mountains of Tennessee on Sunday afternoon, November 6th, at 3:00 pm. IRON RING WRESTLING is hosting an outstanding event at The Meadowview Convention Center (pictured above) in Kingsport, TN. NOVEMBER ONE...

It's November 1st. Can you believe there are only 23-days left before Thanksgiving? Then Christmas is right around the corner. Where does the time go? The older you get, the faster it goes too. We are getting rain here today for the first time in almost a month. After one of the wettest summers on record you would think we didn't needed it, would you? Believe me... we do.

Of course, Halloween couldn't have been complete last night without a visit from our Granddaughter Grace. Bless her heart... she may have her Grandpa's body in this pumpkin outfit, but a face of an angel for sure. She will turn 16-months on the 26th.

I'm being interviewed by Alabama based DRAGON KING WRESTLING today. Karl Stern and company do a great job with the site. I'll let you know when it comes online.

Another reminder about MILLENNIUM CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING's event this Saturday in The Boston area. It's dubbed MWF SOUL SURVIVOR III, and I will be joined by the likes of Jake "The Snake" Roberts, The Missing Link, Billy Kidman, Andrew "Test" Martin, The Sandman, and many more. If you live in, or are visiting the area, the show is being held at The Lynn Armory - 38 South Common Street in Lynn, MA. The Doors Open For VIP Ticket Holders at 5:00PM. Follewed by a 5:15PM Question & Answer Session, and a VIP Autograph/Photo Session at 6:45PM. Doors Open To General Admission Ticket Holders at 7:00PM, with a 8:00PM Belltime.

The feedback from The RING OF HONOR's newly released DVD featuring yours truly has been totally unexpected. I thank you all for the kind words! If you are interested, you can find a copy at: PART-1 PERCY PRINGLE STRAIGHT SHOOTIN' SERIES.

Have a great day my friends!
