Bobby Shane... Danielle changing already...

One of my favorites of all time, Bobby Shane died on this date in 1975 following a plane crash in Tampa Bay Florida. I took this photo here in Mobile, as Bobby gets checked by referee Joe Powell, and Rock Riddle looks on.
Granddaughter Danielle Marie is starting to look more like a baby girl now instead of E.T. I took this pic Sunday night when we took my parents over to meet her for the first time. What a sweetheart! Looks just like grandpa, right? DON'T ANSWER THAT!

Be Blessed.

Danielle goes home... Thanks to all...

Our 3 year old granddaughter Grace Elizabeth met her cousin Danielle last night for the first time. Danielle's proud parents took her home from this hospital earlier this evening. Do you think she will sleep all night? heheheeee.... bless their hearts.

I am sincerely humbled by all of the thoughtful messages I have recieved from you folks. My website has been up for 6 years now, and this BLOG for 3 years. Sometimes I am amazed at the number of visitors we have each day. Many of you have been here through many troubled times in our lives, and it is so uplifting for us to have you here through the good times too. I think the world of you all, and appreciate your support and prayers.

My old friend Karl Stern just opened a website in tribute to Alabama Wrestling. Check it out when you get a moment. Here's the link:

VALENTINES DAY WELCOME...

First off, allow me to wish you and yours a very Happy Valentine's Day! This day around the Moody household will have more than one reason to celebrate, as our 3rd Grandchild is preparing to enter the world as I type.

As a funeral director, it is never good when your phone rings at 4:00 am. That is exactly what happened a few hours ago. I was moaning and groaning just knowing that I was going to have to go out into the cold dark morning. But that wasn't the case. It was our youngest son Daniel calling to tell us that his beautiful lady Jami's water had just broke and they were on the way to the hospital.

It's time to throw out the welcome mat for Danielle Marie Moody! We will have more updates and pictures for you as the day goes by.

Be Blessed.

Mardi Gras In Full Swing...

Bad weather put a temporary damper on the 2008 Mardi Gras season last night (Thursday), with the scheduled parade reset for tonight. That means two big parades will grace the streets of Mobile, Alabama this evening. This will kick-off a full 5-days of festivities.
Speaking of Grace, our granddaughter Grace Elizabeth sits excitingly in Grandpa Percy's car on the way into downtown a couple of nights ago for the parades.
Gracie sits on Daddy Michael's lap and pets one of the Grand Marshall's horses.
Beads... moonpies... and all the trimings, Grace shows that she indeed is 100% Moody as she parties on the streets of our hometown.

Be Blessed.
