NEW LOOK FOR PP.com & A BIRTHDAY

As promised, our dear friend a webmaster "Plowboy" Kurt Nielsen has done some great updates to PERCY PRINGLE.com. Kurt has been busy in Las Vegas the past week with The Cauliflower Alley Club, he is on the Board of Directors, yet he still found the time to make me look so pretty.

You would be surprised how many emails I have received asking how my plastic surgery went!
I thank you all for the kind thoughts... LOL But... it was PP.com that got the "facelift" not me! Do I need one? Give me a... "HELL YEAH!"

We are in the process of picking some photos from my massive collection to add the the photo gallery. The gallery and "storytime" will be back online soon. We appreciate your patience.

Tomorrow is my dear "son" Kane's Happy Birthday. Ohhhhh.........yyeeesssssssss..........................I will never forget the night he was conceived. A made for TV moment for sure.

Take care my friends and as always...

Be Blessed.

TAX DAY and more

Hello folks,

Well we all know what today is. The cartoon above just about tells all. What can I say? Notwithstanding the fact that I had several years during my heyday with The Undertaker when I paid more in tax than I made this year as a Funeral Director, it is a small price to pay to be able to live in a country as wonderful as ours.

PercyPringle.com has received a half a million visitors this past week! Unbelieveable! Of course this is due to WWE featuring me in their "Where Are They Now" profile. Once again I appreciate your support more than you will ever realize.

In fact, they have a poll going on right now that asks who has been your favorite "Where Are They Now" talent. You can visit that poll at WWE WHERE ARE THEY NOW POLL Thanks so much for that!

Be Blessed!

WHERE AM I NOW... and more

A good Saturday morning to you my friends. I would be stupid to say that a rub from The WWE doesn't do anything for me anymore. To prove that fact, in the past three days since I was featured on www.wwe.com WHERE ARE THEY NOW, my website has had 345,117 visitors. Nothwithtanding the hundreds of emails, which I have read and answered personally. My responses may be short sometimes, but I am proud that I am able to give the fans what they have given me through the years, and that is attention and respect.

I wish I could share so many of the messages with you, but that would be an impossibility. However, I would like to share just one, it is lengthy but represents the kindness I have been receiving electronically from you good folks out there. I informed the writer that I was going to print his email here and that I would not mention his/her name. So here it goes...

First, I would like to say Happy Belated Birthday! Second off, congrats on being honored on WWE.com's 'Where are They Now' page. I read each and everyone that's there as I find it really interesting and cool to see where many of my favorite wrestlers I grew with have moved on to. I also find it as great timing that you ended up on there around your birthday.

When I visit your site or even visited your 'Where are They Now' profile on WWE.com, one thing I have noticed very prominently is your love of family. In today's world that's a great thing to see. In fact, I have noticed that on pretty much all of the 'Where are They Now' profiles is that family is an incredible part of their life and that they didn't get over consumed by wrestling. While that can't always be said, its great to see that overall family is 1st.

What's even nicer to see is how proud you and everyone else is about their families and that even on wrestling websites they get talked about often. There are a lot of great wrestling personalities out there. What means the most to fans is that little bit of a response and acknowledgement they get from their favorite wrestling personality(s) or star.

There was a quote in the Spiderman 2 movie that I think says it best: Aunt May: "He knows a hero when he sees one. Too few characters out there, flying around like that, saving old girls like me. And Lord knows, kids like Henry need a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. Even our dreams."

Many people not only look at wrestlers much the same way, but also managers. They live their lives vicariously through them. Imagining they are the next 'Rock' or 'Ric Flair' or 'Bobby Heenan' or yes, 'Paul Bearer'. Many people love to see the good guys win in wrestling and watch the bad guys lose. And when the bad guys have the upper hand, they root for the good guys to save the day. Long story short, in my opinion, it doesn't matter if you are a good guy or a bad guy in wrestling. It's what you have done outside of it that matters the most.

How you presented yourself to the fans even if you were the bad guy character. Even a quick 'Hi' or autograph for many is enough to make them happy for days or even years and also usually will give you a lifelong fan and may have impacted them in positive ways you would never have imagined. I've met Chris Jericho, Curt Hennig and Larry the Ax and Brock Lesnar. And in all cases they were very respectable and friendly and had lasting impressions on me. You are one of the ones I also hold in that high regard.

Its amazing to see someone go through as much as you have, and not only keep your head high, but also to stay grounded and family oriented. Where many others would have fallen. In my opinion you rightfully should be proud. For many you are a role model, and by no means is that an easy task. Or in some cases even a wanted one. But you do a very good job of staying grounded, family oriented, and fan friendly.

I want to say Thank you. Your sharing of stories, knowledge of wrestling, pictures, blogs, etc. are a great tool for fans and others in the industry. Its great to see someone still hold true to the old 'Kayfabe' style of wrestling, but also to still acknowledge their fans and care for their family. You truly are a class act and deserve all of the good things that have come your way. Thank you for everything you have given your family AND your fans! I wish you all the best.

Now... to me that is what it is all about. To have spent over 30 years living my childhood dreams and be recognized by those who have enjoyed the fruits of my labor. I will never forget those of you that support me, especially your emails, thoughts and prayers.

As I wrote in my last BLOG, at this very moment all of my family are gathered in a Cathedral in St. Augustine, Florida as my niece Donna weds the love of her life Chris. Although I am at home unable to attend becaue of my choice to dedicate my life at this particular time to funeral service, I am there with my love and spirit; and Donna and Chris know that.

Well lastly, some say that the children suffer for the sins of the parents. What did I do to deserve this? The photo below is my youngest son Daniel, who is 20 years old and has trained for the past year; he now has a handful of professional matches under his belt. He has accomplished what he has done without too much assistance from me, as I have worked for wrestling families before and learned some valuable lessons from their mistakes. That is not saying that I am not here for him, nor will I not open the door for him when I think the time is right.
Daniel is using the the ring name "WCT D.J. Pringle." The WCT = World Class Texan, keeping in mind that he was born in 1987 when I was working for World Class in Dallas. D.J. = Daniel Joseph, his given name; and PRINGLE = well... well... well... no explanation necessary. Now to the photo below.... no words necessary here either. Lord... Lord... Lord... what have I done?

Have a great weekend.
Be Blessed.

WWE Honor... and a wedding in the family

I am honored to be featured on WWE.com today on the Superstar - Where Are They Now page.
You may go directly to it by clicking on this link: WHERE ARE THEY NOW - PAUL BEARER
So many memories. The photo above was taken by a WWE photographer at the last event here in my hometown of Mobile. I accompanied Kane and Undertaker to the ring that evening in the main event, dressed as Paul Bearer, and carrying the original urn.

By the way, due to some outstanding medical bills and other personal dilemmas, I am considering parting with some of my WWE treasures. I may auction the original urn, and the second urn that I carried also. Give me a shout if anyone may be interested. I also have some classic WCCW collections, including a large banner that hung high above the Dalls Sportatorium for many years, plus tons of other stuff. I am just tired of these things collecting dust, when I feel that someone out there may give them the appreciation they are due, and a safe and happy home.

My favorite niece Donna Marie, seen in the photo above that I took when she was about 4 or 5, is getting married this weekend. Donna is a nurse anethesist, and is all grown up now. Her "Uncle Bill" is really depressed that I cannot make the wedding, due to my commitments at my funeral home. All of our family are already enroute to the east coast of Florida for the big event.
She's marrying one fantastic gentleman (see the photo below), and we are excited about having him join the family. We wish them a very long and blessed life of wedded bliss.
Take care my friends.

Makes it all worthwhile...

I have received so many blessings through my many years in our industry. I am proud to be able to personally read and answer my email from around the world regularly. It is so special to get a note from someone that says that their wife or girlfriend made an appointment for a mammogram after reading about my wife battles with cancer. Then there's some folks who have researched gastric bypass surgery after understanding my experiences. I always find special pleasure in an email from fans who have special memories of me from their childhood.
In 1993, I met a young man and his mother in the lobby of a hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. He was dressed like The Undertaker, and I remembered him immediately when I saw this photograph (above). His name is Marcel, and his brief email truly touched my heart as I compared the two photos taken (below) 14-years apart.
Some memories are worth the world to me... this is certainly one of them. I appreciate those of you that visit me here more than you will ever realize. You folks are a part of my extended family, and that is why I make an attempt to update my BLOG here as often as I can.

Before I go, I must remember that 4 years ago today, my grandson Troy was born to my oldest son Michael and his wife Beth. Troy made an everlasting impression on our family, but our Dear Lord didn't allow him to remain with us, as he passed away just short of 24-hours after his birth. Rest In Peace little man.
Be Blessed.

MY BIRTHDAY

Well it's that time of year again...
Tomorrow, April 10th, I will turn 53 years old.
I have been getting birthday emails for the past couple of weeks, and I appreciate each and every one of them! The Moody Family gathered at my parents late yesterday for a "surprise birthday" party for me under the disguise of an "Easter Dinner." The photo above shows me and granddaughter Grace blowing out my birthday candles. Thank God they didn't put 53 candles on it, we would have had a forest fire.
Damn... the older I get the better looking I get if I do say so myself. heheehee.... I guess Gracie takes after her Grandpaw Moody! By the way you are looking at my natural hair color for the first time in probably 30 years. I haven't put anything on my hair in at least a year.
Looking over some of my birthday wishes with Gracie.
Be Blessed.

WWE HOF and WRESTLEMANIA comments...

HAPPY WRESTLEMANIA TWENTY-THREE MY FRIENDS!

For those of us that follow our industry, we all look forward to this weekend from year to year. Having been blessed to be a part of this business for over 30-years, I throughly enjoyed watching The WWE Hall of Fame broadcast last evening. I worked with all of the inductees, and know them all on both a professional and personal basis. They were all certainly worthy of the distinguished honor.

To see Curt Hennig's family again, brought back so many pleasant memories of my dear departed friend. The last time I saw him, we were sitting up in the stands in the afternoon before a TNA event in Nashville, and he was showing me pictures of his kids. He was so proud of them, and last night I could see that same pride that they all shared for their loving father.

Dusty was great as usual, sharing the spotlight with those that helped shape his career. Lawler was Lawler as his usual royal self, I wouldn't expect any thing different. Jim Ross was indeed the class act that he is 24/7, what you see is what you get with "good ol J.R." Ahhhh... Mr. Fuji... bless his heart... we we together so many times, in so many arenas around the world, night after night. Seeing him after several years, brought up my sincere feelings for him., I love the man.

Notwithstanding Nick Bockwinkle, I first met him back in 1978 when one of the men I was managing met him for The AWA World Heavyweight Title. Afa and Sika, they have always claimed Pensacola as home, and that's just down the street. I've watched them since I first got hooked on this unique addictive sport of ours. It was all good.

My best to all of my brothers in the Class of 2007! I am certainly not bragging, then again maybe I might be, it is comforting to know that I will have a place right alongside of them when the time comes.

That brings us to the grand-daddy of them all... WRESTLEMAINIA 23 in just a few hours. Normally, I truthfully don't make a special effort to watch the product these days like I used to do. But I have all intentions of joining some of my GULF SOUTH WRESTLING family tonight for the live PPV.

I wish I had the vocabulary to tell you all what it is like to walk that WRESTLEMANIA aisle. I started at WRESTLEMANIA - 7 in 1991, and my last was WRESTLEMANIA - 20 in 2004. I just thank the Good Lord for allowing this country boy from South Alabama the opportunities I have experienced. It's a wonderful life.

I have been contacted numerous times over the past few weeks, to do print and internet interviews regarding this annual spectacular event. Most always ask the question what do I think about The Undertaker's winning streak... will tonight be the night it will end?

'Taker and I speak often, although not as much as we both would like due to his schedule, but you know that subject never comes up. That is the last thing we would talk about, and if we did, I wouldn't break confidence for anything.

I think that his streak continuing would be good for the business, and that is exactly what it has all been about with me for over 30 years. What is good for our business.

Have a great WRESTLEMANIA folks!
Be Blessed.
