HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE
On this day at 4:30 pm, 31-years ago, Dianna and I were married. Aside from the births of my sons and grand-daughters, it was without a doubt the happiest day of my life. After the service we piled into our car, hit Interstate 10, with a bottle of Jack Daniels, and headed for New Orleans where we spent our honeymoon on Bourbon Street. Notwithstanding the fact that she was only 17, and going into the clubs was a no-no. We didn't need the clubs anyway, we were kickstarting our dreams. There's so many stories, so many precious memories. I've thought that if I knew what I know now 31-years ago, would I have done the same thing. You're damn right I would; and she would too.
A year ago tonight, she was beginning to get really sick, and in so much pain. I think maybe she knew, but dummy me didn't have a clue that in just 5 short weeks she would be gone. Despite the pain, she wanted to go out anyway, and we did. Just to a local steakhouse. She gave me a brand new wedding band that night, as I had lost mine (the 3rd in 30-years by the way) at Mardi Gras the year before. That ring is still on my finger as I type this. Recently, I have been so troubled about what to do with it. I know there are no rules for this situation; they say when the time is right you will know it. I'll let you know tomorrow what my decision was.
The future of her rings was simple as she told me so many times they were to go to our grand-daughters and are tucked away in a safe until that time comes.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE... I will never forget, and will always remember when...
Be Blessed my friends. My heart aches today but there's a happy song in there too, knowing that The Good Lord allowed me to share Dianna's life; and I continue to share it everyday though the bright eyes and smiles of my two sons, and two grand-daughters.

Blue Christmas...
No matter how hard I am trying, and notwithstanding the wonderful support of my family and friends, it's the beginning of a long and trying week for me without Dianna. Tuesday (12/22) would have been, or still is in my book, our 31st wedding anniversary. And... it's hard to remember a Christmas that she wasn't here with me. I know she's here in spirit... but it's a blue season for me.Be Blessed, and thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers.

WWE INVADES MOBILE
WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT returns to my hometown (Mobile, AL) Friday evening, December 18, 2009, with a 7:30 pm belltime. It has been a couple of years since a RAW house show was in the Port City, and I am looking forward to visiting with many of my longtime friends, if my work doesn't mess things up. See 'ya there!Monday, December 07, 2009

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
I wish you all a very blessed and happy Thanksgiving! Of course, this will mark a long holiday season without Dianna. I know it won't be easy, but I am set to focus on the positives. Dianna always made deviled eggs for our families get-togethers. Well... guess who is taking over that tradition? If you said PP3... you are right on the money! I just hope nobody gets sick. Jim Ross
I am certain that many of you are already aware of Jim Ross' current health issues. If you haven't, you may click on this link an get an update from the man himself - Jim Ross Health Update
I consider JR to be a dear friend of mine, and I am very concerned for him, to say the least. Jim is without a doubt the top professional wrestling announcer in the industry; second only to the late Gordon Solie.
JR has always been there for me during my families' trial and tribulations through the years. I have been in contact with him, and I ask all of you folks that visit me here to remember my friend in your prayers. Knowing JR as I do he will be back before we know it.
Be Blessed.

CAPTAIN LOU ALBANO - REST IN PEACE
Captain Lou Albano, what a legend a dear friend. We visited many times during my years with WWF/WWE. In this photo we are backstage at a WWF event in White Plains, NY. He always told me he was a big fan of mine, and I certainly have always been a big fan of his. He will be missed. My sympathies and prayers go out to to his wonderful family.Friday, October 02, 2009

What A Wonderful Weekend...
Finally.... a weekend off. It's almost impossible to believe I had an entire weekend off and my work phone didn't ring one time. Alabama won their game against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. I went to mass with my parents Saturday evening. Then yesterday (Sunday), I packed myself, my oldest son Michael, his wife Beth, and Grand-daughter Grace into the expedition and pointed it towards the Florida panhandle. We went over and spent the afternoon with my youngest son Daniel, his wife Jami, and Grand-daughter Danielle. We haven't seen them in almost two months, and it was just exactlly what this old man needed to get himself back on track. We took the kids to the park, and to say that I had a great time watching them play would be an understatement. The photo above is Danielle, 19-months, playing peek-a-boo behind one of the pavillions in the park.
Check that smile out... Grandpa had one on his face just as big.
Big cousin Gracie, walks Danielle around the park.
You can tell Danielle's Daddy is a 'rassler, as she pins cousin Grace to the carpet. I can't say that Dianne was out of my mind, because she wasn't. She always loved making the 70-mile trip over to Pensacola to visit the kids, and without a doubt she was with me yesterday. I could feel her presence.Saturday, September 26, 2009

My sincere prayers and sympathies go out to his wonderful wife Lucille, his two sons Jack and Roy Lee, and all of his family.

Three years ago today, in 2006, my wife Dianna was diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time. We didn't have a clue that three short years later she would be gone. I cannot stress too much how important it is for you ladies to do your monthly exams, and get your mammograms. Guys... remind them! It can happen to anybody!
Be Blessed.

Saturday stuff...
The Alabama Crimson Tide plays Florida International tonight at 6 pm at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Unfortunately it is on PPV, and as much as I enjoy The Tide, I can't justify a PPV buy on this one. However, I won't take Florida International lightly, as anybody can be beat any time by anybody.
Chris, the youngest son of Fritz and Doris Von Erich, passed away on this date in 1991. He was a damned good kid, and I still miss him dearly.
Birthday wishes go out this morning to the greatest country music singer of all time, "The Possum" George Jones.
